TOPOS wins two Architecture MasterPrize awards

The Architecture MasterPrize has announced its 2021 winners. A jury of leading designers, architects, curators, and academics selected the most outstanding and innovative projects in architecture, interior design, and landscape architecture from around the world. Among the winners, Mountain City Green Chain by TOPOS (lead designer: Yi Zhu) clinched the 2021 AMP Urban Design category. This program introduces a novel development approach by using connected open spaces to create lasting environmental, community, economic, and cultural value. Noteworthy is its emulation of the cultural and geomorphological history of the region, including the contemporary reconstruction of terraced rice fields, ridges, caves, creeks, and canyons. Other notable winners in the AMP Urban Design category include Zaha Hadid Architects, Casanova Hernandez Architects and Lemay + Angela Silver + SNC Lavalin.

Lakeside Garden by TOPOS (lead designer: Yi Zhu) won the 2021 Architecture MasterPrize in the Gardens category. Lakeside harmonizes relationships among people, nature, and history, using landscape design and art to tell stories of this special place.
